East West Cafe

A cool cafe found at the Entertainment Center of Ayala Mall. Started out as a coffee shop but turned out to produce quietly spectacular food and fruit slushes compared to their coffee conconctions. Even their East West Iced Tea Blend is delicious- the obiquitous iced tea mix served in other places cannot compare at all.

This is where i sit around while waiting for friends to join me, just listening to the songs in my ipod. Lighting is subdued and chairs are comfy. Your conversations don't get drowned out by the whir of blenders although service might be a little slow. If you are in a hurry, better go to Starbucks.

Last night, fellow officers of the Cebu Companion Animal Practitioners Association and I started off with the Mango Crab Pasta Salad. Its very light with a tangy dressing.

We followed it up with the Orange Honey Glazed Salmon. The menu said it was a meal to share with a group but i could have eaten it all by myself. The boys loved this and ate it all. Slightly crunchy on the outside and tender pink meat on the inside.

The Boneless Chicken Rolls doesn't sound very appetizing, nor does it appear visually appealing. But it is a surprise of delicate flavors as it has an herb filling and a nice spicy , tangy sauce.

Dessert was Tropical Fruit Lasagna which was a mountain of thin crepes layered with mangoes and pineapple slices. Fruit layers are supposed to vary with the season.

Very satisfying.
